Hard-to-find 8 pocket pages are designed
to display matchbooks vertically, so you can easily read
text and images (most 8 pocket pages are horizontal).
Each pocket measures 2"
x 5-1/2" and can display
eight matchbook covers,
or sixteen covers when stored back to back. Two mini matchbook
covers can fit in one pocket.
Many collectors prefer to remove the match sticks from the cover by carefully bending and pushing out the staple. This protects the paper from rust and sulphur stains and reduces the hazard of storing matches. You can just clip off the match heads for temporary storage. The covers are pressed flat in the pockets and protected during handling.
Matchcover collectors also use 6
pocket pages for 30 strike matches, and 4
pockets for larger matchbook covers.
