Normandy lace with Irish crochet

Irish lace, pictured at the triangular center of this roundel, is made with crochet hooks to make the bud of a flower and small loops or "picots" in the lace mesh. Machine lace sewn onto the piece is surrounded by a filet lace trim. Emroidered floral pattern on the woven fabric gound.
